The Mermaid Theory – How I Met Your Mother

Jozef caught this clip on his mermaid material fishing hook before I did. He showed it to me the other day at a BMP meeting and I loved it. I wonder whether guys in real life (rather than Barney the theorist) actually believes this notion. I have witnessed it but have another name for it – a proximity crush. Anyway, we thought all you landlubbers out there might get a laugh out of it.

If you've been reading this blog for a long time, you'd know that we LOVE LOVE LOVE a website called TotallyLooksLike.com In fact, Julie gets daily email updates with the latest uncanny look alikes. We've included the second pic because Black Mermaid (Classic) which included Bruce Love, went to Broken Hill in 1999 to teach a whole bunch of "Creating Comics" workshops to the locals so we saw gorgeous sculptures like this one around the outskirts of this beautiful landscape (although we can't swear that we saw this particular one). Since Julie has a thing (or perhaps we should say "obsession) for Survivor we thought we might include Cochran from the "South Pacific" series in the pack.

Mermaids by Flight of the Conchords

This is kinda cute and quite on mermaid topic. The Flight of the Conchords is a New Zealand comedy group. I occasionally catch them on one of the cable channels shown at the gym. Jozef the music lover, however, is the one who heard the song then tracked down the YouTube clip. Enjoy the mermaid tails!
